Responsibility

From 2020 Aram Orbelyan holds the position of Managing Partner. 

He is leading the Litigation and Arbitration practices of the firm.

In 2014, after a four-year-break, Aram Orbelyan rejoined to Concern Dialog team as a Senior Partner.

From 2011 to 2014 Aram Orbelyan held the position of the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia (among other topics he was also responsible for reforms related to different state registers and e-gov implementation, reform of legal profession (notaries and attorneys), civil and civil procedure, arbitration and mediation legislation).

From 2009 to 2011 he was employed at Concern Dialog law firm, first as a Senior Associate, and then as the Deputy Director of the firm. He was responsible for the Electronic communications (regulatory) and competition law practice areas of the firm.

Since 2010 Aram Orbelyan has been a partner of the firm.

From 2006 to 2007 Aram Orbelyan worked at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) regional delegation in Moscow as an Assistant to Senior Legal Adviser, and later as a Legal Adviser.

In parallel to his main activity, Aram Orbelyan lectures at the School of Advocates of RA and      at the French University in Armenia (UFAR). 

  • In December 2009, attended “Legal dialogue for legal transformation” course of the winter academy organized by GIZ and Hartie School of Governance.
  • In 2008, defended his candidacy thesis on “Use of armed forces in modern international relationships” at the Faculty of International Law at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), obtaining a PhD degree in Law.
  • From 2000 to 2005, studied at the Faculty of International Law at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and obtained a Bachelor degree in Legal Studies (2004) and later a degree of Lawyer /Diplomate/ with command of foreign language (2005).
